Visit the city Riva del Garda
Visit Riva del Garda where history, culture, leisure, good food and sport are waiting for you.
Riva del Garda is located at the north-west corner of Lake Garda. On the west side rises Monte Rocchetta, and on the east, Monte Baldo, both reflected in the deep blue waters of the lake.
Riva del Garda is one of the preferred destinations for tourists who want to spend their holiday on the banks of the lake and visit this city.
The small town features a number of points of interest, including Piazza III Novembre, surrounded by porticoes dating to the medieval period; the Bastione fortress, dating to the sixteenth century and open to the public, from which one can enjoy a spectacular view of the whole lake; the Rocca, which houses the city museum, hosting a permanent exhibition as well as numerous temporary exhibitions every year and the church of the Inviolata, which is a unique example of local Baroque architecture.
Thanks to its especially mild climate, Riva del Garda is a perfect departure point for excursions, including by motorcycle. The constant wind blowing along the lakeshore also makes it an ideal spot for enjoying water sports, including sailing, surfing and windsurfing.
The surrounding territory is marked by rocky walls that drop straight down to the cobalt blue waters of the lake. Here, you can go Bungee and Base Jumping.
