Diving Riva del Garda
Dive into differents depths in Riva del Garda. Underwater paths and itineraries. It will be you, and the lake.
The seabeds of Riva del Garda, the site being of glacial origin and consequentially rich in unusual rock formations, offers numerous diving points running along the whole coast, alternating picturesque rock walls with sandy seabeds.
Here you can enjoy picturesque dives along walls that reach a depth of two hundred metres.
Year round, these seabeds are the home of a vast range of sea creatures, including fresh water shrimp, and host a wide variety of water flora.
While diving in the fresh water of the lake, it is not uncommon to come across remnants of centuries of domination by the Venetian Republic, including numerous Venetian galleys and even a warship, which was recently found near Riva del Garda. Before trying out diving, it is important to know the laws that regulate this sport: for underwater fishing you need a non-professional license. This activity can only be practised in free-dive, using spearguns. Torches are strictly prohibited. Fishing is not allowed between dusk and dawn and fishermen must be at least 200 metres from the port and 150 metres from the beaches.
Scuba divers must be identified by a buoy on the water or on their own boat and must remain within 50 metres of the buoy.
