Biking Riva del Garda
Riva del Garda, Bike’s paradise. Visit the city or find new routes to cover with your bike.
What could be better than discovering Lake Garda by bicycle? This stunning landscape can in fact be enjoyed from different point of view, that of the cyclist.
Starting from the valley of the Adige, you break off at the town of Mori. After a short climb, you arrive at and then cross Seghe Prime. At this point, you go in the direction of Loppio. First, you cross a vast cultivated plateau, then you skirt Lake Loppio, by now completely drained. Another short climb takes you to San Giovanni pass (altitude: 272 metres). You then go through Nago and, heading downhill, you arrive at the Torbole port. From this point, the cycling itinerary continues along stunning Lake Garda. At the bridge, you head first toward the valley of the lakes and then toward Riva del Garda. The landscape is stupendous and, enjoying fantastic views all the while, you arrive all the way to Porto San Nicolò.
Another don’t-miss route for cyclists who love this area is the one that leads from Riva del Garda to Malga Grassi. It is 25.5 kilometres long. You start in Riva del Garda and, continuing past San Giacomo, get onto provincial road number 37. Take the path in the direction of Malga Grassi, near the archaeological site. After the small town of Parisi, a long downhill stretch through the woods leads you back to Riva del Garda.
